16-year-old fighting for his life after Birmingham moped crash
It's thought he collided with a car in Perry Barr
Police are appealing for information after a 16-year-old boy was left with life-threatening injuries following a hit and run in Perry Barr last night (22 March).
Officers were initially called to reports that a moped had crashed on Rocky Lane just before 7.20pm.
The teenager was taken to hospital and he remains there in a critical condition.
Several people have told police another moped and a car were possibly involved.
A pillion passenger was also spotted running away from the scene.
Their investigation so far suggests that the two mopeds were being ridden in tandem when one of them was rammed by a silver car.
The pillion passenger and two teenagers from the second moped have been in contact with officers about what happened.
However police are appealing for anyone with information about the silver vehicle to get in touch.
