West Mercia Police - man arrested on suspicion of firearms offences in Redditch

West Mercia Police say a man has been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences.

The arrest is reported to have happened yesterday, with the incident involving the firearm happening the day before in Redditch.

They say it happened at around 4.50pm on Friday afternoon (January 6).

Foxlydiate Lane, Webheath, Redditch

At around that time yesterday afternoon, police say they received a report a man who had been seen with what is believed to be an air weapon in a vehicle in Foxlydiate Lane.

Yesterday, a 56-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

Police say he is currently in police custody.

Two weapons have also been seized by police.

These weapons are believed to be air weapons.
