Suspected arson in Worcester

West Mercia Police have launched an appeal for information following the incident on Sentinel Close in the city

Officers investigating a fire in Worcester are treating it as a suspected arson.

The blaze happened at about 12:30am on Saturday on Sentinel Close in the city.

Police have launched an appeal for information and witnesses following the incident which they say caused significant damage to a three storey house.

Nobody has been injured.

Detective Inspector Oliver Moore said: “I understand that an incident like this and a police presence in the area can cause concern to residents, but I would like to reassure the public that this is an isolated incident.

"I appeal for anybody with any information or somebody who may have seen anything around the time of the incident to get in touch with the police."
