DJ Jonas Blue joined us backstage ahead of his amazing performance at Hits Live Manchester, speaking to Hits Radio Birmingham presenter Jordan Lee about his biggest moment of 2019, his plans for Christmas, and his EPIC new single 'Younger, which features fellow Hits Live Manchester performer HRVY.

Jonas, whose real name is Guy James Robin, released the amazing single with 20-year-old HRVY earlier this year, which quickly become a massive hit with fans, so we were keen to discover just how that collab came out.

Speaking to Jordan Lee, Jonas said, “It’s been a long time coming me and HRVY, basically he had wanted to work with me for a long time because he had been performing some of my songs in his set. And when i wrote 'Younger' it felt like the right song."

It certainly is a perfect track! 🔥

The DJ, who has dropped hits like 'Fast Car', 'Polaroid' and 'Mama' in recent years, also spoke about whether or not he'd ever enter the I'm A Celebrity jungle, saying, "Erm, yeah I think maybe somewhere down the line. Never say never. I’d have a problem with rats, nothing else, just rats.”

As well as admitting he'd love a pair of Gucci or Louis Vuitton sliders for Christmas this year, Jonas also confirmed that his set at Tomorrowland was certainly up there with his biggest moments of 2019.

He told Jordan, “There’s been quite a few, Tomorrowland is always up there. Playing main stage at Tomorrowland was quite a moment. Paris Hilton side of stage for me, so it’s quite a mental one. So that’s one of the highlights."

Jonas Blue burst onto the scene in 2015 with a cover of 'Fast Car' by Tracy Chapman featuring singer Dakota. It peaked at Number 2 and was kept off the top spot by One Direction star ZAYN's 'Pillowtalk'.

More recently, he worked on 'Back & Forth' by MK featuring vocals from Becky Hill, 'Rise' with Jack & Jack and also 'Polaroid' starring Lennon Stella and fellow Hits Live Manchester performer Liam Payne!

The fantastic line-up at Hits Live Manchester includes, Robbie Williams, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Mabel, Mark Ronson, Anne-Marie, Tom Walker, HRVY and Jonas Blue.

Hits Live will be back next year! Don't miss your chance to see more fantastic artists all in one place.
