Tom Walker opens up about how his wedding planning is going

We caught up with Tom Walker backstage at Hits Live Manchester on Sunday 17th November 2019 before his incredible performance at the Manchester Arena. The 'Leave A Light On' singer told us all about how his wedding planning to fiancée Annie is going.

After Tom proposed to his long-term girlfriend Annie in August 2018 after five years of dating, and many of his most romantic songs are about her and their relationship - so we just had to ask him about how the planning for their wedding is going!

Talking about his brand new song 'Better Half Of Me', Tom admitted it was about his fiancée as he's always on tour and has seen her "probably 40 times" over the past 12 months! Revealing that the pair will be looking to buy a place together next year, Tom said that as they live in London, he'll have to wait until they've got somewhere before getting married as otherwise it might "bankrupt" him! 😂

Tom confessed that he gets emotional singing the song on tour, especially when the audience sing it back to him, "At first there were maybe 10 people who'd heard it the day before, then the next day it was 50.

"By the end of the tour the entire venue had their phone lights out waving them in the air, lighters going up, singing the song - and that's such a nice thing to see."

Hits Live favourite Tom Walker was absolutely incredible tonight, singing his biggest songs 'Leave A Light On' and 'Just You And I' amongst plenty of others. Following the release of his debut album 'What a Time to Be Alive' in March 2019 which peaked at Number 1 in the UK, Tom has had an incredible year, winning Best Breakthrough Act at the 2019 BRIT Awards.

Having been touring throughout 2019, Tom will also be going back on the road in February next year, touring around Scotland with one final date in Manchester.

The fantastic line-up at Hits Live Manchester includes, Robbie Williams, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Mabel, Mark Ronson, Anne-Marie, Tom Walker, HRVY and Jonas Blue.
