Woman suffers 'nasty injury' after motorbike crash in Coventry

A woman has been left with a 'nasty injury' after being knocked off a motorbike in Coventry.

She was riding as a passenger, and reportedly not wearing a helmet, when it happened on Jardine Crescent, in the Tile Hill area, at around 2pm yesterday afternoon.

The rider of the motorbike ran off from the scene - police have since recovered the vehicle.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "A woman suffered a nasty head injury after a bike collided with a van at around 2pm yesterday (19 Sept) in Jardine Crescent.

"She was riding pillion passenger on the bike at the time and not wearing a helmet.

"The bike rider ran off from the scene. We've recovered the bike.

"The woman was treated by paramedics but later discharged herself from hospital."
