Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an incident involving vehicle theft and grievous bodily harm in Nuneaton on 9 November.

It was reported that at approximately 8.45pm a caravan was stolen from the car park of the White Hart pub in Ridge Lane. The caravan was seen being towed away by a white transit van which was accompanied by a white Audi car.

A few minutes later the Audi car returned to the scene of the theft. The driver turned into the car park at speed, hitting a 60-year-old man causing him to be thrown over the car bonnet.

A mobile phone, believed to belong to one of the suspects, was later found in the car park.

Detective Constable Chris Stowe said: “We are keen to apprehend the suspects of this callous incident which has injured a member of our community.

“We’d like to hear from anyone who was at the pub or in the area around 8.45pm on Tuesday, who may have information or dash-cam footage that can help enquiries.

“It’s likely that the driver of the car returned to retrieve the mobile phone that was dropped at the scene. Obviously we will be pleased to reunite the phone with its owner, who is welcome to call in to Nuneaton Justice Centre at any time.”

Please call 101 quoting incident number 375 of 9 November if you witnessed the incident, have dash-cam footage or any other information that may assist our enquiries.
