Man in life-threatening condition after hit-and-run outside Wellesbourne pub

A man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a hit-and-run incident in Warwickshire.

Police say it happened in Wellesbourne on Friday evening, with the man in his 20s hit by a white VW Golf outside a pub.

They describe the incident, which happened outside of the pub on Ettington Road, as the car hitting the man, before 'leaving the area'.

In a statement, Warwickshire Police said: "We are looking for anyone who can help with our investigation into a road traffic collision which reportedly took place at 9:30pm yesterday evening (14 December) in Wellesbourne.

"A young male in his 20s was reportedly hit by a white VW Golf outside of the pub on Ettington Road, which then left the area.

"The victim has sustained life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital for treatment at this time."
