Child hit by taxi in Kenilworth left with 'potentially serious injuries'

A 13-year-old boy has been left with 'potentially serious injuries' after being hit by a taxi in Kenilworth, Warwickshire.

Emergency services were called to Windy Arbour yesterday morning.

The boy was taken to Warwick Hospital after being treated at the scene for his injuries.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian on Windy Arbour at 8.27am yesterday, one ambulance and a paramedic officer attended the scene.

"On arrival we discovered one patient, a boy, who was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to Warwick Hospital."

A Warwickshire Police spokesperson said: "Collision was in Windy Arbour, Kenilworth. Reported to police by paramedics at 8.33 yesterday. Taxi had collided with a 13-year-old."
