Man in serious condition after armed attack in Bloxwich

Police are appealing for information after the attack in Bloxwich last night (11 April).

West Midlands Police are appealing for information after a man was seriously injured when he was attacked in Bloxwich last night (11 April).

Up to 10 men - some understood to be armed with machetes - set upon the man in Valley Road at around 8.15pm.

The man, in his 40s, suffered knife wounds and remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

Damage was also caused to a property and the attackers are believed to have fled in a white Ford Transit and a grey 4x4.

Officers are reviewing CCTV and carrying out other enquiries in the area to help them to identify who was responsible.

West Midlands Police say they have stepped up patrols and they are asking for anyone who can assist their enquiries to come forward.
