Another man has been arrested as part the Police’s investigation into live rodents being thrown into restaurants in Birmingham.

Officers have called it ‘appalling’ and 'totally unacceptable', and now say they’re stepping up their patrols following the incidents.

Following an appeal, the 30-year-old is now in custody, whilst a 32-year-old has been bailed after being arrested earlier this week.

Police have confirmed the incidents happened in a number of streets in the city, and their investigations continue.

The arrests have come following incidents in Regina Drive, Perry Barr and off Watson Road, Nechells on Monday.

Officers added: "Our position is clear, this is appalling, and will not be tolerated.

"We will hunt down and prosecute anyone who commits such acts.

"We're stepping up patrols across the region and will be offering reassurance to our communities."
