Noisy neighbours respond to a nasty letter in an entertaining way

They were being noisy every night.

We've all had noisy neighbours and usually a few casual words quieten them down a bit, but clearly this Twitter user had come to the end of their tether.

Annoyed by her noisy neighbours in university halls an American student known as morgue (@morgxmarie) posted a letter to the boys upstairs, saying 'Why are you so loud after 9pm everyday? Are you sumo wrestlers, or do you possibly have lead f*cking feet?'

She went on to say, 'It was funny @ first, but now it's just annoying.'

Finishing it off with, 'If you're selling tickets to the 2am basketball games let us know :-)'

While many neighbours would be annoyed to receive a letter like that, morgue received an ingenious response from the '3rd Floor Lead Foot A*sholes'.

They printed out tickets to the Ashole Basketball Championchip sic, challenging the '2nd Floor Btches' to a 2am game, even giving them seats such as 'couch' and 'chair 1'.

The tickets were for 1st December and even included a fake barcode and ticket numbers.

Morgue tweeted her initial letter and their reply, quickly gaining popularity on Twitter attracting 100,000 hearts and 35,000 retweets in just a few days.

Some even responded saying they wish they had thought of writing a note like this.

One user even innocently asked if morgue would be going to their basketball game, before realising her mistake.

Whilst it's not clear if morgue and her friends took up the offer of a 2am game, the girls were invited for a warm up at 1.15am and told to bring their student ID.
