Russia's Foreign Ministry has banned 13 British Politicians from entering the country, due to "unprecedented hostile actions" by the UK Government.

The list includes Prime Minister Boris Johnson, as well as the Foreign and Defence Secretaries, and Scotland's First Minister.

The statement adds that the decision has been taken in particular response to Russian officials being sanctioned.

A translation reads: 'Essentially, the British leadership is deliberately pushing the situation around Ukraine, pumping the Kiev regime with lethal weapons and coordinating similar efforts by #NATO.

'It is unacceptable and inciting London, strongly pushing not only its Western allies, but also other countries to introduce broad-scale anti-Russian sanctions, which, however, are pointless and counterproductive.'

The Russian Foreign Ministry adds that the list will likely be expanded, to include more British politicians and parliamentarians.
