Two people have been bailed in connection with the "unexplained" death of a child in Pembrokeshire.

On Saturday (19 October), we learnt a woman aged 19 and a man aged 23 – were arrested on suspicion of child neglect.

Officers say they continue to investigate the circumstances around the death of the four-month-old.

In an update, they added: "Dyfed-Powys Police continues to investigate the circumstances around the death of a four month old baby in Clynderwen, Pembrokeshire.

"Two people – a woman aged 19 and a man aged 23 – were arrested on suspicion of child neglect, and have now been released on bail pending further enquiries.

"People living in the Clynderwen area will see an increased police presence over the coming days.

"The baby’s death is being treated as unexplained."

Emergency services were sent to an address in Clynderwen at around 1.45pm on Friday (October 18th).

Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed they had received a request for a welfare check for a four-month-old boy who had been at the address.

However, when officers arrived at the property, they said the infant sadly died at the scene.
