A live TV debate between Rish Sunak and Liz Tuss has been dramatically halted after a crash in the studio, caused by host Kate McCann fainting.

The debate, being hosted by TalkTV, was taken off air after a loud crash was heard, with Lizz Truss exclaiming: "Oh my god!".

The Tory leadership debate on TalkTV was stopped due to the presenter fainting, and it will not be resumed.

The broadcaster said in a statement: "Kate McCann fainted on air tonight and although she is fine, the medical advice was that we shouldn't continue with the debate.

TalkTV has apologised to viewers.

"We apologise to our viewers and listeners."
