Man taken to hospital after suffering stab wounds in Birmingham city centre

An 18-year-old has been taken to hospital after suffering stab wounds during a robbery in Birmingham city centre.

The incident took place during a robbery on a bus as it was travelling along Golden Hillock Road in the south east of the city on Friday afternoon (November 15th).

Officers were alerted to the incident shortly after it took place at around 4:45pm, with emergency services arriving on the scene shortly afterwards.

Paramedics were brought in to check the man's wounds and was taken to hospital for his injuries shortly afterwards.

West Midlands Police have said that the victim currently remains in hospital in a stable condition, with his injuries not believed to be life-changing.

The two perpetrators are believed to have stolen a phone from the victim before making off from the bus.

Investigations into the incident are now taking place and CCTV footage from the area at the time of the robbery is now being reviewed.
