Police investigating unexplained death in Widnes
61 year old Slawomir Grzegorz Sobolewski was found with serious injuries last month
The death of a man in Widnes is being treated as unexplained by Cheshire Police.
61 year old Slawomir Grzegorz Sobolewski was taken to Whiston Hospital but sadly died on Sunday 9 April.
He was found at a property in Ansdell Road at around 9.40pm on Thursday 23 March
Cheshire Police are trying to find out what happened to him.
Detective Inspector Hannah Friend from Cheshire Police said:
“At this stage this appears to be an isolated incident and we are doing everything we can to establish the exact circumstances of what has happened.
“We are following numerous lines of enquiry to establish what led to Slawomir’s death, and you will continue to see officers in and around the Ansdell Road area conducting house-to-house and CCTV enquiries.
“I would urge anyone who may have witnessed what happened, saw anything suspicious or unusual, or has any information which could assist officers with their enquiries, to contact us on 101 quoting incident number IML 1510674.
