It's after an online donation page raised over £2,500 in a day

The family of the 4-year-old girl killed at her home in Milton Keynes say they're overwhelmed with the love from the community.

The message came via friends and family who've started an online fundraising page to help pay for the girl's funeral.

The girl - named locally as Alice Stones - died in the back garden of a Netherfield.

Grace Wenham - who organised the fundraiser - says the family want to thank everyone who has donated, shared or sent their condolences - adding that 'nothing has gone unnoticed'.

Over 2 and a half thousand pounds has been raised so far.

Police investigations are continuing to identify the breed of the dog.

Superintendent Marc Tarbit, Local Policing Area Commander for Milton Keynes, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the girl who has died in this extremely tragic incident."
