Norfolk woman fined after fraudulently ordering over 200 takeaways from Uber Eats
The 24 year old has been ordered to pay almost £6,000 in compensation

A Dereham woman who used someone else's card details to fraudulently order over 200 takeaways from Uber Eats has been ordered to pay compensation.
24 year old Brittany Narbett, of Sandy Lane East, admitted to 14 counts of fraud by false representation, with 197 further offences taken into consideration at Norwich Magistrates Court.
She has been ordered to complete 20 days of rehab, along with a 12 month mental health treatment programme.
She will have to pay a total of £5772.80 in compensation.
The fraud is said to have happened between June 2021 and October 2022, with Narbett gaining access to her victim's card details after the pair ordered a meal in April 2021.
Narbett saved the card details and later used them to pay for a total of 211 different takeaways over the following months.
The victim was told in October 2022 and reported it to police.
Narbett initially denied knowingly using the victim's card details, claiming it was an accident.
Duncan Etchells, supervisor of the Operation Converter team at Norfolk Police said, “Narbett had been using the victim’s card details for over a year and cost him nearly £6,000.
“I am pleased that the victim will now receive this money back through compensation and hope that the measures put in place will prevent Narbett from reoffending and allow her to move forward.”
