Murder arrest after boy, 17, stabbed in Solihull

A murder investigation has been launched and a teenager arrested, after a 17-year-old was stabbed in Solihull.

Police were called to Station Road in Marston Green at around 6.20pm on Tuesday.

A 17-year-old boy was treated for his injuries by the ambulance service, but despite their best efforts he sadly died.

Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of murder and he remains in custody as investigations continue.

Supt Wayne Carter, of Solihull Police, said: "We know people will understandably be concerned and we will be in the area conducting enquiries throughout the day.

"We will have extra officers in the area over the coming days and I would encourage anyone with any information, or concerns, to get in touch."

Detectives are reviewing CCTV footage and making enquires.

Anyone who witnessed what happened, or who has information is asked to come forward to police.
