Motorcyclist in 50's dies after collision at Dover racetrack

A man in his 50's has died after a serious collision at Lydden Hill Racecourse near Dover.

The incident at the motorsports venue in Wootton happened at around 12.50pm on Saturday 4 May 2024.

A man in his 50s was riding a green Kawasaki ZX-10R motorcycle and came off the vehicle after leaving the track on a bend.

An Air Ambulance was called tot he scene but despite the best efforts of all involved, the biker was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have caught video or photos, is asked to call detectives on 101.
