Man dies after falling from upper floor of Bullring shopping centre

Police in Birmingham have launched an investigation after a man fell from the upper floor of the Bullring centre.

In a statement, West Midlands Police said that the incident took place late on Friday evening (December 13th).

The man had been standing on the upper floor of the shopping centre, which forms a major Birmingham landmark, when the fall took place.

Emergency services were called to the scene to deliver immediate treatment to the victim, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigations are now underway, though the force has said that the incident is isolated and there is no wider risk to the public.

Officers said: "We were called at 9.04pm last night (13 Dec) after a man fell from the upper level of the Bullring. The man sadly died at the scene.

"His next-of-kin have been informed and his death is not being treated as suspicious."
