Man attacked with baseball bats in Gloucester

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of assault after an attack involving baseball bats in Gloucester.

Officers received a report that two men were attacking another man with the weapons on Rectory Road in Matson, at around 12.50am this morning (18 May).

The suspects then dropped the bats before leaving the scene.

A man in his 30s was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with possible fractures. He currently remains in hospital.

Police have arrested a 35-year-old man from Gloucester on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm.

He remains in police custody at this time.
