Man arrested on suspicion of murder following triple stabbing in Liverpool

The incident took place at a block of flats in Toxteth at the weekend

Police investigating a triple stabbing in Liverpool have arrested a man on suspicion of murder.

Three people - two men and a woman - were attacked at a block of flats on Hillaby Close, Toxteth on Sunday 10th December.

One man - aged 28 - has since died in hospital. He is still to be formally identified and his next of kin are being supported by specialist officers, Merseyside Police said.

The suspect - a 38-year-old man from the Toxteth area - has also been arrested on suspicion of two counts of Section 18 attempted wounding with intent.

He is currently in custody where he is being questioned by detectives.

A man in his 30s remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

A woman, also in her 30s, remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
