Police charge man in connection with murder of woman in Leeds

West Yorkshire Police have charged a man with the murder of a woman who was found dead at property in Leeds.

The woman was discovered by officers at a house on Tempest Road in the south of the city just after 1pm on Saturday (March 30th).

Emergency services responded to the scene to tend to the woman, who sadly was later pronounced dead at the property.

Investigators looking into the incident have now arrested 53-year-old George Chalmers and charged him with the woman's murder.

Police remanded Chalmers in custody, and is now set to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court on Monday (April 1st) in connection with his charges.
