Police given more time to question man after Gloucester stabbing

Police in Gloucester have been extra time to question a man arrested following a fatal stabbing.
Officers were called to an incident on Bedford Street at 7:40am on Wednesday morning (May 28th).
When responders arrived at the scene, they found three men who had been stabbed at the address - requiring immediate medical treatment.
All three were taken to hospital for treatment for their injuries, but despite their best efforts, one of the men - aged in his 50s - succumbed to his injuries at around midday.
A post-mortem on the deceased man's body will be carried out, while the remaining two men are recovering in hospital.
Police cordons currently remain at the scene on Bedford Street while forensic investigations into the incident continue.
A man - whom police believe to be the suspect - was arrested half an hour after the incident was first reported at nearby Chequer's Road. The man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment before being discharged and arrested.
Gloucestershire Police have now been given more time to question the suspect, meaning officers will have until Friday morning (May 30th) to question him.
Meanwhile an appeal for information into the stabbings remains open as officers continue their enquiries.
