It's officially underway: the Glastonbury Festival organisers have today announced who's on the line-up for the first of 21 stages at this year's event.

They've started with the Acoustic Stage - in what seems to also be the stage right at the top of the alphabet - as outlined in a very comprehensive list by the social media site, The Glasto Thingy.

On this year's line-up, we have favourites Scouting for Girls and Russell Crowe - who's hosting an indoor garden party - as well as the Bootleg Beatles, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, and the Fun Lovin' Crime Writers.

The New Zealand actor joined forces with musician Alan Doyle back in 2017 to make the Indoor Garden Party - and sang just last year in Bologna with the group, which completely sold out.

Proceeds from the event were donated to the flood victims of Emilia-Romagna in May, which killed at least 17 people, displacing 50,000 others.

For 2024, the first wave of acts were announced less than a month ago - with this year's event seeing the likes of Cyndi Lauper, Coldplay, and Paul Heaton taking to the Pyramid Stage, with Shania Twain appearing in the Legends slot.

Glastonbury took to social media on 14th March to reveal many performers for the 2024 festival, revealing that they still have 'many more acts and attractions still to be announced'.
