A moment's silence will be held before tonight's Nations League match between England and Greece in memory of George Baldock.

The former Sheffield United defender, who played 12 times for Greece, has died at the age of 31.

Both teams will wear black armbands in tribute to the former Blade, who made the move to Athens to play for Panathinaikos earlier this year.

Baldock's grandmother was from Greece, allowing him to be called up to the Greek National team in May 2022.

He made his debut for the national side in a 1 - 0 win over Northern Ireland in Belfast.

Tributes have been pouring in for the talented defender, with flowers being left at Bramall Lane today.

An England statement said: "We're extremely saddened by the passing of George Baldock."

"George was close to many of our players, and represented Greece - our opponents on Thursday night.

"We're thinking of George's family, friends and team-mates at club and country at this difficult time."
