Man stuck with 10,000 #FreeBritanny t-shirts after spelling mistake

A Britney Spears fan has been left with 10,000 t-shirts after a spelling mistake left them reading #freebrittany rather than #freebritney.

The hashtag #freebritney has become popular on social media during the ongoing court challenges as Britney Spears challenges the conservatorship case that controls much of her life and career.

Wholesale Clearance UK said the t-shirts should read #FreeBritney, but a spelling mistake meant it was spelt like Brittany in France, meaning 1,000 t-shirts that are unusable.

He's a statement from the company:

"When we first heard about Britney’s fight to end her conservatorship, we were automatically interested in doing something to help fight the cause. So, when we discovered they had misprinted the phrase and spelt her name like the French region, we were absolutely gutted!

"However, the last thing we want is the stock to go to waste and are still very keen to help support the cause and #freebritney!

"So, we are appealing to any fans of the movement to invest in one, despite the major misprint, so we can continue to fight the cause…
