Four people have been arrested in connection with alleged tragedy chanting at Carlisle United's match at home to Bradford City.

They're all from Cumbria - and are aged between 17 and 20.

They were questioned on suspicion of public order offences during yesterday's game - and have been released on bail.

Bradford City won the League Two match 1-0.

Chief Superintendent Carl Patrick from Cumbria POlice said:

“We had an enhanced policing presence in place to ensure that people could enjoy their day safely.

“I would like to thank the vast majority of people attending the fixture for behaving in a responsible and safe manner.

“Our officers arrested four people after reported tragedy chanting. There is no place for such behaviour, and we will not tolerate this happening in Cumbria.”
