Five children in hospital after being hit by a car in Glasgow

A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident in Blackhill

Five children are in hospital after being hit with a car in Blackhill, Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Provanmill Road just after 5.30pm today.

Officers say investigations are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said:

"Around 5.40pm on Monday, 22 August, police were called to a report of five youths struck by a car on Provanmill Road, Glasgow.

"Officers attended and the five youths were taken to the Royal Hospital for Children.

A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this incident and enquiries are continuing."
