Three people arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Eastleigh

The victim currently remains in hospital with serious stab wounds

Three people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the the serious assault of a man in Eastleigh.

Officers were called to Shorts Road at around 11:23pm on Thursday (October 31st), following reports that a man had been stabbed in the stomach.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found 18-year-old man who had suffered from serious stab wounds.

The victim was promptly taken to hospital, where he currently remains in a serious condition; however, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Shortly after his discovery, police began their investigations following the incident and arrested three people soon afterwards.

Hampshire Police confirmed that a 16-year-old boy from Bishopstoke, a 15-year-old from Bishopstoke and a 34-year-old from Chandler's Ford had all been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

As well as this, the 16-year-old boy was also arrested with possession with intent to supply cannabis.

All three remain in police custody while investigators carry out their enquiries into the incident.

Meanwhile, police are continuing to appeal for information as they try to piece the events leading up to the victim's stabbing together.

In the appeal, the force said that they believe a number of people had been in the area and had likely seen the attack take place, appealing to them directly for information.

As well as this, those who may have been in the area around the time of the stabbing, or those who may have CCTV footage are also being particularly urged to come forward.
