Its the fourth and final day of Cheltenham Festival 2023. Despite some travel disruption, hundreds of thousands of people have visited the racecourse this week. All eyes are now on the prestigious Gold Cup which is taking place at 3.30 this afternoon - the winner will win a whopping £350,000.

A look back at Gold Cup winners in recent years...

2022 - A Plus Tard

Jockey Rachael Blackmore made headlines when she ran to victory with A Plus Tard last year, becoming the first female jockey to do so.

 2021 - Minella Indo

Irish trainer Henry De Bromhead celebrated becoming the first in his profession to win three championship races at Cheltenham Festival. 

2020 - Al Boum Photo

The legendary horse came out on top in 2020, with a back to back win on their victory the year before. 

2019 - Al Boum Photo

The gelding rode to victory beating Native River and Anibale Fly in the dying moments of the iconic race in 2019.
