Police have confirmed a 6-month old baby has died in hospital after a crash in a car park in South Wales.

A man from Wigan has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

The incident took place on the ground floor of a multi-storey car park in Tenby at around 4pm last Thursday (2/1).

Officers have confirmed that Sophia Kelemen, from Leigh in Greater Manchester, died in hospital the following day.

Police say their "thoughts remain with her family at this difficult time" and that they are being supported by specially trained officers.

Flaviu Naghi has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and driving without a license or insurance.

The 33-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of drink driving and drug driving and has been released on bail for those offences.

He appeared at Swansea Magistrates Court on Saturday, where he was remanded to reappear at the same court tomorrow (7/1).
