Appeal after two men shot in Canning Town

Their injuries aren't thought to be life-threatening

Two men are in hospital after a shooting in Canning Town.

Metropolitan Police officers were called to Thorne Close near Rogers Road in the early hours of Saturday morning (October 26).

Two men, ages 25 and 27, were found with gunshot injuries and taken to hospital, where they are continuing to receive treatment.

Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Detectives are investigation, and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

No one has been arrested, and residents can expect to see more patrols in the coming days.

Detective Inspector Iain Wallace said: “I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area in the early hours of Saturday – who heard or saw anything suspicious – to come forward.

“Two men were shot and it is vital that we identify who is responsible.

“Also, I would ask that you check any dash cam footage to see if you captured the shooting.”
