Lee Clark does not want his players to get carried away after Kilmarnock moved into the top half of the Ladbrokes Premiership.

Killie recorded a 2-0 home victory over Dundee to move into sixth place.

Goals either side of the break from Rory McKenzie and Souleymane Coulibaly sealed the win for the Ayrshire team in a dominant performance.

Clark said: The league's crazy. Even though we're delighted with the performance, we thoroughly deserved the result which could have been by a bigger margin, we know that the league's going to just swing around every weekend really because it's so tight.

It's great to be sitting in the top six with a game to play on Tuesday evening, albeit a very tough one against Aberdeen.

You have to keep right on your game. I've said it many times and I've been reading the quotes of the other managers, they're saying this month's huge for us all.

We've only conceded five goals in our last seven games now and three of them were at Ibrox, so we're starting to make ourselves hard to beat.

But we've also got a goal threat. We've scored two today but we probably could have scored more today.

The whole team today put in a very similar performance to the one in the 2-0 victory against Hearts, in terms of the pressing game without the ball and our quality of play when we had it.

I'm really really pleased with the consistent performances of the players at this time.''

Meanwhile Dundee put in a lacklustre display and rarely troubled Kilmarnock goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald.

Manager Paul Hartley admitted his team fell short of their best performance in spite of some opportunities to get back into the game in the second half.

He said: We had a couple of point-blank headers we should have done better with, but overall we weren't at our best today.

I've not really got any complaints. The players over the past five or six weeks have been excellent.

In these games there's not a lot between the seven or eight clubs at the bottom. There's going to be times where it doesn't go as well for us.

I felt we were off the pace. We didn't win enough second balls dropping down.

Give credit to Kilmarnock, the way they pressed us all over the pitch. We just weren't at our best, it's pretty simple.''
