2/ My daughter Gabriella was born with an 11th finger…it was safely removed when she was a baby!
3/ I’m married to a newsreader on the telly
4/ For 12 years, I was stadium announcer at Easter Road…I’m currently match day host for the Glasgow Warriors
5/ I was a professional radio presenter whilst still at High School!
Career History
At the age of 14, I gave up a paper round to work as an assistant at Forth 1…at the age of 17, whilst still at school, I presented my first show on Christmas Day 1993. At 21 I moved to Clyde 1 to present late night…moving to 9am-12 shortly after. I’ve stepped in as cover for Bowie @ Breakfast, I was also the temporary anchor of Clyde 1 Superscoreboard in 2015!
Career Highlight to Date?
I hosted an event in Paisley in January 2003…A boy in school uniform asked if he could come up and sing a song he had written…his name was Paolo Nutini…and he met his future manager that day!
Your Favourite Scottish event of the year?
I love the Edinburgh Festival and Fringe…there’s so much going on for everyone during the 3 weeks…the best part is the comedy festival
What is your favourite band/music act of all time?
Hard to identify just one act…but if I had to, it’d be Seal
Which fashion accessory could you not live without?
My converse trainers
What is Scotland’s best kept secret?
My abilities as a Goalkeeper…and Bosta Beach on the Isle of Lewis…the most beautiful shore in the world!
Who is the most interesting person you’ve interviewed and why?
Noel Gallagher…I loved his honesty, his wit and his passion for Scotland!
If we gave you £1000, what would you spend it on?
I would book a trip to an NFL game with my son!
If you weren’t on the radio, what would you be doing?
I’d probably still be doing my paper round! Truthfully, probably something straight forward like accounting!
