Boy, 15, fighting for his life in hospital after collision with car near Livingston retail park

A teenage boy is fighting for his life following crash in West Lothian.

The collision, involving a 15-year-old pedestrian and car, happened on Almondvale Boulevard, Livingston, around 7.45pm on Monday.

He was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People, Edinburgh, where medical staff describe his condition as critical.

The driver of the vehicle, a white Toyota Hilux, was not injured.

The road was closed for around four hours.

Road Policing Sergeant Jamie Humpage said: "Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing. I would urge anyone who may have seen the crash to come forward.

“In addition, if you have dash-cam that could help with our investigation then please contact us.”
