A yellow weather warning for wind has been issued - with gusts of up to 55mph forecast, along with heavy rain.

The warning - which runs for the full day on Wednesday - covers the whole of Scotland and North Northumberland, with eastern areas likely to be affected the most.

The Met Office says there's a small chance of injuries and danger to life from flying debris; mobile phone coverage could also be affected.

And commuters are being advised to leave extra time for their journeys, with the chance of disruption on the country's transport network.
