The World Pipe Band Championships 2023 have been won by a West Lothian Band.
Peoples Ford Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia Pipe Band scooped the top title at the event held yesterday at Glasgow Green.
It's the band's first time winning the prestigious award.
Pipe Major Ross Harvey told Forth News what it means to them: "It's an indescribable feeling.
"It's just amazing that the band has finally picked up the Pointed Trophy."
The annual World Pipe Band Championships are a sight to behold drawing competitors from across the globe.
This year, though, it was Scotland's turn to take home the top title.
Harvey continued: "This year we've worked harder than most.
"It's testament to that hard work that we've managed to get the result."
It was an international affair at the top of the leaderboard:
- Peoples Ford Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia, Scotland
- Field Marshall Montgomery, Northern Ireland
- Inveraray and District, Scotland
- Simon Fraser University, Canada
- Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia, Scotland
- St. Laurence O'Toole, ROI
"The Worlds" as they are affectionately known will be back at Glasgow Green in August 2024.
