A woman has travelled from London to Edinburgh in a bid to find a bracelet belonging to her late Mum.

Eva Militerova lost the keepsake while visiting the city last week. She was wearing it when she believes it slipped off her arm around the city's old town area.

The gold bangle which is engraved with a 'J' belonged to her mum Julianna before her death of ovarian cancer last December.

Since her passing Eva has worn the bracelet everyday as a way of remembering her.

She has now returned to the Scottish capital this weekend in a bid to be reunited with it.

She says: "It's something of hers that I have been able to carry with me everyday.

"She was quite young at 56 when she passed away and it turned out that the ovarian cancer was very dangerous. Usually it goes unnoticed until it is too late.

"To find the bracelet again would be the most amazing thing, it would definitely make my Christmas a lot better. I lost my Mum last year just a few days before Christmas, so now as it is the run up to the one year anniversary it would really make this time a bit brighter."
