Woman dies after being found in burning car in Bathgate

A woman found badly injured in a burning car in Bathgate has died.

The 47-year-old woman was found next to a man near Drumcross Farm at around 6:15pm on June 25th.

The woman had significant burns and a head injury and was rushed to hospital. The man was also taken for treatment for burns and remains in hospital, but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

It was a farm worker who came across the vehicle next to a field.

Police say the death is being treated as suspicious.
