Woman charged with Edinburgh nightclub attack

Police in Edinburgh have arrested a woman in connection with a serious assault in the city centre.

The incident happened around 2.15am on Sunday 3rd March at The Hive Nightclub on Niddry Street.

A 21-year-old man was struck to the face, resulting in injuries, and attended the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.

A 20-year-old woman has now been charged in connection with this and the assault of a 24-year-old woman, who was uninjured.

She is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.
