Woman has handbag stolen in Whitburn
Police are looking for two male suspects after a woman was robbed of her handbag in Whitburn, West Lothian
Police in West Lothian are making appeals after a woman had her handbag stolen in Whitburn on Monday (March 14th) evening.
Around 7.15 pm a 23-year-old woman was walking along a footpath near White Burn at Laburnum Road, when two men approached her from behind, one grabbed her handbag and both ran off towards Briar Gardens.
The bag contained a mobile phone and personal items.
The suspects are described as:
- Approximately 18 years old, 5 ft. 7 in height, of large build, wearing a black hoodie with front zipper and dark grey jogging bottoms.
- Approximately 18 years old, 5 ft. 8 in height, of average build, with dark hair and a fringe, wearing a black/dark grey hooded top and black jogging bottoms.
Detective Constable Laura Hanlon, West Lothian CID, said:
"Thankfully the woman was not injured but she has been left shaken by what happened.
"Officers have been making local enquiries and checking CCTV from the area but would appeal to anyone who may have seen the incident or the two men in the area to come forward.
