Man, 24, left with head injury after fight on Princes Street

Violence flared at a bus stop next to Waverley Mall.

A young man has been left with a serious head injury after he was attacked at a bus stop in Edinburgh city centre.

The 24-year old victim was standing on the south side of Princes Street at Waverley Mall when a fight broke out during the early hours of Wednesday (8 Jan).

The suspect is described as white, around 6ft 2in tall and between 30 to 40-years old.

He was wearing a long dark green hooded khaki jacket and dark trousers.

Constable Justine Bremner, said: "We believe that several people were near to the bus stop when the incident happened so we're appealing to them to contact us".
