Staff and patients are preparing to wave the old Sick Kids Hospital goodbye as they move to the new £150m building at Little France.

The 150-year-old building at Sciennes Road will close for the final time on July 9th, with patients being moved to the new facility by ambulance on the same day.

The new Sick Kids hospital on the site of Edinburgh Royal Infirmary will also open to the public on the same day.

The building has faced a string of setbacks and was originally meant to open in 2017. It's hoped state-of-the-art facilities will benefit kids for years to come.

With days to go, Forth News has been speaking to the staff that work their about the bittersweet goodbye and the memories they'll take away with them. Here's nurse Chloe McNaughton.
