WATCH: Penicuik parents thank paramedics for saving their baby
Two parents from Penicuik are thanking the paramedics that saved their little boy.
Hayley and Brian Muir had just arrived home from a holiday in Gran Canaria days before Christmas when their son Oliver suddenly took ill.
Hours after coming home from Gran Canaria he was struggling to breathe and was in distress. Hayley and Brian quickly contacted 999 in a panic.
Paramedics then took just minutes to arrive before rushing him to hospital.
He was put on a ventilator and spent days in hospital before being discharged right before Christmas Day. Hayley and Chris were later told that had they not called 999 as quick as they did, Oliver may have been more seriously ill.
Now the pair want to thank the paramedics that attended that day and praise NHS Scotland for their care.
