WATCH: London's Victims Commissioner calls for Scottish counterpart
London's Victims Commissioner has called for a Scottish counterpart to be appointed.
It comes as Kevin Woodburn, who's son Shaun was killed outside a Leith pub nearly two years ago and Lynne Burns, who lost her son Sam in a stabbing five years ago, campaign for one.
Both believe it would help protect the rights of victims and their loved ones throughout the country.
Yesterday Kevin Woodburn met with the Justice Secretary Humza Yousaf who agreed not to rule the idea out.
Today Claire Waxman is backing their calls and says she believes Scotland would hugely benefit from the introduction of a Victims Commissioner.
