WATCH: Hundreds of climate change protesters take over North Bridge

Hundreds of climate change protesters have taken over Edinburgh's North Bridge calling for action on global warming.

Campaigners from the 'Extinction Rebellion' group have gathered on the main route in the city centre in a mass demonstration. Around 300 people have come together to demand the Scottish Government to act on global warming immediately.

The group has also been taking part in demonstrations in London this week, with more than 100 people arrested in the city.

The group is working with Police Scotland to ensure the protest is safe.
