Forth News has brought together an Edinburgh dad and a stranger who saved his life when he suffered a cardiac arrest in Waverley train station.

47-year-old Donald Scott collapsed in the busy concourse last August while on his way to meet friends.

Police officers working in the station and a member of the public rushed to his side and used a defibrillator to save him, before he was rushed to hopsital.

Donald woke up in intensive care a week later, but never knew who saved his life.

Last week we told you his story and that he was searching for the good samaritan that was key to his survival.

After our appeal on-air David Fairgreave got in touch and revealed he was the stranger that treated Donald.

So Forth News took them both to Waverley station six months after that eventful day, to meet for the first time.
